Ex-Labour Minister Ngige Remanded in Kuje Prison Over Alleged N2.2bn Contract Fraud

Former Labour Minister Chris Ngige has been remanded in Kuje Prison following his arraignment at an Abuja High Court on eight counts of alleged N2.2 billion contract fraud during his time supervising the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) from 2015 to 2023. Ngige pleaded not guilty, and his defense team requested a formal trial date while resisting the prosecution's request for remand.
