JUST IN: Ex-plateau PDP governorship aspirant, John Sura dumps party

Former Plateau PDP governorship aspirant, John Sura, has announced his resignation from the party. Sura, who contested the 2023 PDP primary election but lost to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, revealed his decision in a statement on his Facebook page.

He expressed a moral obligation to explain his resignation to his supporters and members of the Sura Club Liberation Family. Sura emphasized the need to address his compatriots directly, from the time he entered politics to the present day.

While acknowledging that his resignation might have been heard, he stated that he owed a moral duty to formally inform and discuss the reasons with his Political Family. Sura's departure adds to a series of defections that have recently weakened the party.
