FCT Police Capture Notorious Robbery Syndicate in Abuja

The FCT Police Command in Abuja has apprehended a notorious robbery syndicate comprising four suspected armed robbers linked to violent crimes across the city. The suspects, identified as Ibrahim Shaibu, Yusuf Salihu, Awulu Nuhu, and Usman Yerima, were arrested in coordinated operations in Kagini, FCT, and Madalla, Niger State.

Items recovered include two pistols, live ammunition, a Toyota Corolla, and stolen phones. The suspects confessed to various robberies, including an attack where a popular DJ was shot dead.

CCTV footage confirmed their involvement in criminal activities. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend another gang member still at large.

The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in combating crime in the Federal Capital Territory.
