FG Assures Control of Security in Plateau After Jos Attack

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through Minister Moham Idri, addressed the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North, stating that the security situation in Plateau State is under control. The government expressed deep concern for the victims and their families, extending condolences on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Immediate responses included the mobilization of troops to the affected area and the implementation of a 48-hour curfew in Jos North to stabilize the security environment. Minister Idri emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring justice for the heinous acts and urged Nigerians to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies.

President Tinubu recently held a high-level meeting with national security intelligence chiefs to review the situation and coordinate further actions. Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has been invited for further consultations with the President to discuss a coordinated approach towards achieving lasting peace and security in the region.
