Fire Outbreak at Lagos Airport's Old Terminal, No Injuries

A fire outbreak was reported at the old terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident.

The fire affected part of the airport's older infrastructure, which is currently undergoing a multi-billion naira renovation aimed at upgrading facilities and improving passenger experience. Henri Agbebir, the Director of Public Affairs at FAAN, stated that the agency's emergency response unit was activated to prevent further damage, and firefighting teams were on-site to manage the situation.

Agbebir assured the public that there were no casualties or loss of life recorded. Passengers at the airport were advised to remain calm while officials worked to fully extinguish the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
