Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, a seasoned legal scholar and academic administrator, has been appointed as the new Chairman of INEC. Born in Kogi State, Amupitan has a distinguished career spanning three decades in law and education.

He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a respected figure in the legal field. Amupitan's educational journey includes studying at Kwara State Polytechnic, University of Jos, and the Nigerian Law School.
