Datti Baba-Ahmed Leaves Labour Party for PRP

Datti Baba-Ahmed, who served as the vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, revealed his decision to leave the party and join the People's Redemption Party (PRP). This announcement was made during an appearance on Tuesday, where he expressed that the decision stemmed from internal disagreements within the Labour Party.

Baba-Ahmed indicated that he found it ideal to leave the Labour Party when there is a possibility of peace, suggesting that the party's current state was untenable for him. His resignation will take effect at midnight, confirming his next political destination as the PRP, which is noted as one of Nigeria's oldest political movements, having been founded in 1978.
