JUST-IN: IGP Orders Probe Of Abuja Airport Incident Involving KWAM 1

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the Lagos Airport Police Command to investigate an incident involving popular Fuji musician Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The Nigeria Police Force confirmed receiving an official petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) regarding the incident that occurred on August 5, 2025.

The incident reportedly involved KWAM 1 engaging in unruly conduct and obstructing the safe operation of an aircraft, violating Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations 2023. The IGP's directive aims to ensure a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident and serve justice accordingly.

The police have emphasized their commitment to upholding safety and security in the aviation sector, urging improved collaboration with stakeholders and strict compliance with aviation laws.
