Katsina Governor Calls Emergency Meeting on Insecurity

On Monday, Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Radda chaired an emergency security meeting at the Government House in Katsina, aimed at addressing the escalating insecurity in the state. This meeting brought together heads of various security agencies, including representatives from the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Federal Fire Service, and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

The urgency of this meeting was underscored by a recent bandit attack in Sayaya Village, Matazu Local Government Area, which resulted in the deaths of three people, including a policeman. The assailants reportedly invaded the area, ambushing a police station and looting a primary health care center and several shops.

Following the incident, Governor Radda visited Sayaya Village to assess the damage and extended condolences to the families affected by the violence.
