MFM Suspends Nationwide Vigils Over Security Concerns

Mountain Fire Miracle Ministries (MFM) has ordered the suspension of all vigils across Nigeria due to prevailing security concerns. The directive, communicated through an internal circular dated June 5, 2026, and signed by director Temitop Olawal, mandates that all church activities must end by 8:00 PM until further notice.

This precautionary measure aims to safeguard the lives and well-being of church members amid increasing security challenges nationwide. The church has instructed regional and zonal pastors to ensure compliance with this new arrangement, which affects all levels of ministry activities.

While overnight prayer meetings and related programs are suspended, the ministry has noted that necessary vigils may be converted into prayer sessions, provided they conclude by the stipulated time. The measures introduced are solely for security reasons and are not intended to hinder worship activities.

The church leadership has emphasized the importance of communicating these changes promptly to all branches.
