MFM Suspends Vigils, Limits Services to 8 PM Nationwide

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has announced the suspension of overnight vigils and has limited church services to conclude by 8 PM nationwide. This decision was communicated through an internal memo dated June 5, 2026, signed by Temitop Olawal, the Director of Administration at the church's international headquarters in Lagos.

The church cited rising security concerns across Nigeria as the primary reason for this action, emphasizing the need to safeguard the lives of its members amid prevailing security challenges, including banditry and kidnapping in rural communities. The memo instructed all ministers and branch pastors to comply with these directives immediately.

The church stated that while overnight prayer programs are suspended until further notice, necessary vigils may be converted into evening prayer programs that conclude by 8 PM. This precautionary measure reflects the church's commitment to ensuring the safety of its congregation in light of the current security situation in the country.
