NANS Plans Nationwide Protest Against Tinubu's Tax Laws

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has scheduled a nationwide protest on January 14, 2026, against the newly introduced tax laws by the government, particularly criticizing the role of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. NANS President Olushola Oladoja expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of stakeholder engagement and consultation before implementing the tax reforms.

The protest aims to address the economic challenges faced by students and demand transparency and public consensus in policy-making. The FIRS Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, is accused of inadequate management of the tax reform process.
