NECO Releases 2025 SSCE External Results, Records High Pass Rate
The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External Results, revealing a high pass rate. The Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, disclosed that 80 candidates obtained five credits and above.
A total of 96,979 candidates registered for the exam, with 51,823 males and 45,156 females. Out of the candidates, 95,160 sat for the English Language exam, while 93,330 took the Mathematics exam.
Wushishi also mentioned that 9,016 candidates were involved in malpractice, marking an increase from the previous year. Additionally, five supervisors and two federal capital territory officials were recommended for blacklisting due to aiding malpractice.
NECO conducts the SSCE External Exam mainly for private candidates seeking certification outside the regular school system.
