NECO Releases 2025 SSCE Results: 72% Secure Five Credits Including Maths, English

The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination results. Out of the 96,979 candidates who registered, 72% obtained five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.

The NECO Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi, disclosed that 36 states owe the examination body close to N2 billion in registration fees.

Additionally, there were cases of examination malpractice, with 9,016 candidates involved in various offenses, marking a 31.7% increase from 2024. The results also led to the blacklisting of five supervisors and two Federal Capital Territory (FCT) officials in Kano, Adamawa, and Ondo states due to malpractice.

The examination was conducted from November 26 to December 13, 2025, with marking taking place from January 5 to January 21, 2026. Candidates can access their results on NECO's official website using their examination registration numbers.
