Nollywood Actress Temitope Osoba Passes Away

Popular Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has passed away, as announced by fellow actor Alesh Sanni in an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday. Sanni expressed his grief, stating he had been unable to sleep since learning of her death and referred to Osoba as a beloved sister with whom he shared cherished memories.

Osoba's death comes approximately one year after she resumed her acting career following her recovery from breast cancer. In August 2025, she shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, thanking her fans and supporters for their prayers and encouragement during her battle with the disease.

Osoba revealed that she discovered a lump in her breast during a self-examination in late 2024. Although initial assessments suggested hormonal changes, further tests confirmed cancer.

She underwent surgery in November 2024 to remove the tumor and was advised to have a second operation to eliminate remaining cancer cells.
