Ohanaeze Ndigbo Rejects Calls for Tinubu's Resignation

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has distanced the Igbo nation from calls for the resignation of President Bola Tinubu, which were attributed to Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State. The organization, represented by Deputy President General Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Deputy Secretary General Chibuikeya Achoakawa, stated that Obi's remarks lack context and do not reflect the collective political interests of the Igbo people in the South East region.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide reaffirmed its commitment to constructive engagement with the federal government and acknowledged ongoing federal infrastructure interventions across Nigeria, particularly in the South East. The organization commended the efforts of Minister Engr. Dave Umahi in supervising federal road projects, which contribute to improved connectivity and investor confidence.

Ohanaeze also recognized the improvement in Nigeria's external reserves, estimated at $50.81 billion, and urged public office holders to maintain decorum in public discourse.
