Nigeria Police Summons 14 Officers for AIG Promotion

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has scheduled a promotion screening exercise for 14 senior officers aiming for elevation to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG). This exercise will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Police Service Commission (PSC) headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.

According to a police wireless communication, the sessions will commence at 8 AM, with officers expected to report by 7 AM. The promotion exercise includes notable officers such as Christoph Ado, Emmanuel Joseph, and Eribo Miller, among others.

The PSC has outlined a professional dress code for the interviews, requiring officers to wear conventional attire, including a black jacket, beret, and swagger cane. The examination will cover various areas, including law, local acts, and operational support.

The PSC aims to strengthen the leadership structure within the police force through this merit-based promotion process.
