PSC Promotes 13 AIGs, 17 DCPs, and 54 Other Officers

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of 13 Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), 17 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and 54 other officers. This decision was made following successful performances in a recently concluded written examination and oral interview held at the PSC's corporate headquarters in Abuja.

The announcement was made by PSC spokesperson Torti Kalu on Thursday. The newly promoted AIGs include Emmanuel Ado (Yobe State), Joseph Eribo (Ekiti State), Dantaway Miller (FCT), Uch Ifeanyi (Director, NPF National Cyber Crime Center), and Olarenwaju Peter Ogunlowo (Ogun State), among others.

The list of promoted DCPs includes Abdulrahim Audu Shaibu (Lokoja Command), Abba Sule (Interpol), and Kayod Uthman Magaji (Abuja). Additionally, 19 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and 35 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) were also promoted.

PSC Chairman DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (retd) emphasized that these promotions recognize merit and dedication to service, urging the newly promoted officers to justify their new ranks.
