President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently spoke about the benefits of Nigeria's participation in the ongoing ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama, Japan. Tinubu, who arrived in Tokyo earlier in the week, emphasized the importance of Nigeria's engagement in TICAD9, highlighting the potential for unlocking $1 billion in trade and investment, driving green innovation, boosting industrial growth, and expanding opportunities for young people.

He described the summit as a launchpad for lasting development and global partnerships, anchored in technology, talent, and trust. Tinubu expressed optimism that Nigeria's active participation would strengthen its leadership role in Africa and enhance collaboration with Japan as a global partner.
