President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently attended the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Tokyo, Japan. The conference aimed to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and Japan, as well as the broader Asian market.

Tinubu joined other global leaders at the opening ceremony held at the Pacifico Yokohama International Conference Centre. The event, which took place from August 20 to 22, focused on discussions about Africa's economic transformation, private investment, and innovation.

A statement from Tinubu's aide, Dada Olusegun, highlighted the importance of the conference in providing a platform for these crucial discussions. Tinubu's participation underscores Nigeria's commitment to enhancing its relationships with Japan and other Asian countries.
