Shettima Represents Tinubu at Fasoranti's 100th Birthday

On Monday, Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived at Akure Airport in Ondo State to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 100th birthday celebration of Chief Dr. Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, a prominent elder statesman.

A statement from Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communication, emphasized the significance of Fasoranti's political history and his association with late Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Shettima's visit was intended to convey the Federal Government's goodwill and acknowledge the contributions of Fasoranti to Nigeria's socio-political landscape.

Upon arrival, Shettima was received by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, along with other political figures. Security agencies had already deployed measures to ensure safety during the event, with the Ondo State Police Command confirming comprehensive security arrangements to prevent any breaches and maintain peace throughout the celebration.
