Soludo Submits 18 Commissioner-Nominees for Screening

On Tuesday, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State submitted a list of 18 commissioner-nominees to the Anambra State Assembly for screening. This submission occurred during the assembly's plenary session.

The nominees are set to be referred to a committee for further screening and legislative action. The proposed list includes Ben Odoemena for Agriculture, Chukwukadibia Okoy for Budget and Economic Planning, Udoji Amedu for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Eken Ogugua for Education, and Afam Obidik for Health.

Other nominees include Clem Aguiyi for Environment, Izuchukwu Okafor for Finance, and Patrick Agha for Youth Development and Sports, among others. Notably, Afam Obidik and Patrick Agha retain their previous portfolios from Soludo's first term.

The current speaker directed the committee to commence the screening process in line with legislative procedures.
