Terrorists Attack Kebbi Community, Abduct Villager

On the night of Saturday, June 20, 2026, armed assailants attacked Tsamiya Town in Kebbi State, resulting in significant property destruction and the abduction of local villager Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfar. The Kebbi State Police Command confirmed the attack, which involved the assailants firing sporadically and setting several structures ablaze, including a makeshift checkpoint belonging to the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps.

In response to the incident, Bashir Usman, the Commissioner of Police, ordered the immediate deployment of additional security personnel to the area. Following the attack, the police launched a full-scale investigation to rescue the kidnapped victim and apprehend the perpetrators.

The police assured residents that security operations would continue until normalcy is fully restored and urged the public to remain calm and vigilant, providing credible information to assist ongoing operations.
