Tinubu and Oluremi Launch 2027 APC Campaign Council

Tinubu and Oluremi Launch 2027 APC Campaign Council

On October 14, President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu arrived at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja for the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election. They were welcomed by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, and governors from 33 states.

The inauguration aimed to unify members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political figures to bolster Tinubu's re-election campaign. The APC has revised its campaign council to include political figures from outside the party, such as Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke from the Accord Party, who will coordinate the campaign in Osun State, and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, who will oversee campaign activities in Anambra State.

Additionally, Nyesom Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, was appointed to coordinate efforts in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory. Tinubu will serve as the chairman of the council, with Shettima and Yilwatda as vice-chairmen.
