Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary in Lagos Ward

Bola Tinubu emerged victorious in the APC presidential primary held in Lagos Ward L2, Eti Osa Local Government Area, where he received 4,996 votes from a total of 5,163 registered voters. The primary took place on Saturday morning amid tight security.

Tinubu was accompanied by the First Lady and participated in the voting process at Ireti Nursery Primary School. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who cast his vote alongside his wife Ibijok Sanwo-Olu, commended the party members for their peaceful conduct and impressive turnout, which recorded 1,887 votes.

Tinubu expressed gratitude to party members for their patience and support as he seeks re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections. The APC adopted a direct primary system for this election, allowing members across the country to participate in selecting candidates.

The exercise began at 8 AM, with significant attendance from top party figures, including Sanwo-Olu and APC Lagos State Chairman Ojelabi.
