Nigerian Troops Rescue 74 NYSC Members from Terrorists in Borno

Nigerian troops, part of the Joint Task Force in the North East Operation Hadin Kai, rescued 74 NYSC members who were possibly abducted by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Borno State. The rescue operation occurred along the Buratai-Kamuya road after the NYSC members' vehicle broke down near a known kidnap hotspot.

The troops detected suspicious movements involving three buses and immediately rescued the stranded NYSC members to prevent any abduction attempts. The rescued members are currently lodged at the Buratai Military Base awaiting safe onward movement.
