ADC Critiques Selective Justice in Malami, El-Rufai Cases

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has raised concerns regarding what it perceives as selective justice in Nigeria, particularly in the cases involving Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General, and Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State. The ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, highlighted the contrasting treatment of high-profile cases, specifically those involving allegations of passport forgery and international conspiracy.

The party insists that justice must be applied equally and transparently, without political calculations, and criticized the rapid enforcement actions against Malami and El-Rufai compared to similar cases that have progressed at a slower pace. The ADC expressed that the current situation raises serious public concerns about the integrity of law enforcement and the judicial process in Nigeria, emphasizing that no citizen, regardless of status or past office, is above the law.
