Justine Madugu has signed a new two-year contract as the Super Falcons coach, ensuring her presence until 2027. Under her guidance, the team recently qualified for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations after a 1-1 draw against Benin Republic.

The 61-year-old coach expressed delight at the qualification but acknowledged the team's below-par performance. Madugu is now focused on building a stronger team for the upcoming WAFCON scheduled for March 17 to April 3, 2026, as part of the African qualifiers for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil.
