Kaduna Women and Children Freed After Abduction

Two pregnant women and four children who were abducted in Kaduna State have regained their freedom after spending several weeks in captivity. They returned on Thursday to Sabon Gyero community in Chikun Local Government Area.

The release follows an earlier incident where three pregnant women were freed three weeks ago, while others remain in captivity. The victims were among residents abducted when gunmen invaded Sabon Gyero community during the last days of Ramadan.

The attack also resulted in the deaths of seven residents. Additionally, a young man identified as Abdullahi Lawal, popularly known as Kurma, was shot dead during the assault.

Residents have expressed concerns over the recurring security threats in the area and have called on security agencies to strengthen surveillance and improve protection for residents across affected settlements.
