Kaduna Abduction Survivors Recall 3 Weeks of Horror in Bandits' Den, Governor Emphasizes Security Measures

Survivors of a mass abduction in Kurmin Wali village, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, recounted a harrowing three-week experience in the hands of bandits. They described hunger, beatings, threats, and nights spent in the open forest before being rescued.

Governor Uba Sani received Sir Kashim Ibrahim and expressed gratitude for their freedom. The survivors, including a female who held her baby, were fed raw corn flour mixed with water during captivity.

The survivors thanked the Kaduna State government, military, and security agencies for their rescue. Governor Sani highlighted the government's focus on security and mobilization of security agencies to ensure the safe return of all abducted individuals.

The survivors will undergo medical examinations and psychosocial support before returning home. The state government plans to establish a military base around Kajuru and Kachia axis, particularly near the Regina area, to enhance security.
