Kaduna State Builds 36km Road for 66 Farming Communities

The Kaduna State government, led by Governor Uba Sani, has commenced the construction of a 36-kilometer road linking Bagoma and Gagumi in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area. This road will benefit 66 farming communities by improving access to markets, schools, and hospitals, thereby significantly impacting the local economy.

Abdullahi Ahm, Managing Director of the Kaduna State Road Agency, noted that the road is part of a larger initiative to enhance rural infrastructure, which includes the construction of 1,345 kilometers of roads across 20 local government areas. The project is being executed by CGC Nigeria Limited, which specializes in large-scale infrastructure projects.

The road is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with contractor Wang Hongxi assuring the state government of timely delivery. Local residents, including Musa Bagoma and Ibrahim Mand, expressed optimism about the road's potential to transform their community by easing transportation challenges and improving access to education and markets.
