Kaduna Governor Urges Vigilance for Democracy in Nigeria

On Friday, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani emphasized the need for Nigerians to remain vigilant against threats to democracy, calling for a collective commitment to uphold constitutional governance. His remarks were made during a banquet attended by President Bola Tinubu's media team, who were touring federal government projects in the North West.

Sani recalled the sacrifices made by journalists and pro-democracy activists during Nigeria's military rule, specifically mentioning late journalists Bagauda Kaltho and Dele Giwa. He urged citizens not to succumb to self-serving political narratives that could undermine their freedoms.

The governor also commended the ongoing infrastructure development efforts in Kaduna State, including the inspection of projects such as the 35-kilometer Gadan-Gayam-Gwaraji-Kujama road and the 300-bed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital. The president's media team, including Bayo Onanuga, Sunday Dare, and Tunde Rahman, praised the transformation in Kaduna State, which is evident through increased allocations and fiscal reforms.
