El-Rufai Sues Minister Musa for N10bn Over Security Comments

The Communal Responsibility and Civic Minded Foundation has expressed support for Defence Minister General Christopher Musa (rtd.) following a dispute with former governor El-Rufai, who is seeking N10 billion in damages. The disagreement stems from comments Musa made during a live interview on Channels Television's 'Politics Today,' where he discussed the security situation in Southern Kaduna during El-Rufai's tenure.

Musa's remarks included allegations of payments to bandits and the use of ethnic and religious divisions in politics. The foundation, led by Executive Director Godwin Erheriene, defended Musa's right to speak on national security issues, citing his military background and personal ties to Southern Kaduna.

They urged that legal actions should not silence public officials and called for open dialogue to address the issues raised. The foundation emphasized the need for truth and justice for communities affected by violence in Southern Kaduna and urged all parties to prioritize Nigeria's unity and security.
