CAN Demands Permanent Security in Kaduna After Killings

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter, has demanded the establishment of permanent security formations in vulnerable communities after more than 30 residents were killed in the Narido (Kizakoro) community, located in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area. In a statement signed by Rev. Caleb Bawa Ma’aji, the State Chairman, CAN condemned the attack as a barbaric assault on innocent civilians and a violation of human life.

The association expressed sorrow over the massacre, highlighting the attackers' disregard for humanity, as they targeted men, women, children, and the elderly. CAN noted that this incident is a painful reminder of previous violence, recalling that seven people were killed in August 2025 and nine residents lost their lives in June 2026.

The association emphasized the need for improved security measures, urging the government to deploy more security personnel and enhance collaboration between security agencies and local communities. CAN also called for the arrest of those responsible for the attack and encouraged residents to remain vigilant.
