PDP Condemns EFCC Over Detention of Aspirant and Campaign DG in Kaduna - Political Intimidation

The Kaduna State Chapter of the PDP criticized the EFCC for the prolonged detention of Reps aspirant Princess Esther Ashivelli Dawaki and her Campaign DG, Shehu Fatangi, over alleged possession of N39 million. The PDP accused the EFCC of using arrests to intimidate opposition members, particularly ahead of elections.

Despite legal efforts to secure their release, the EFCC arraigned Fatangi and Dawaki on money laundering charges. The PDP expressed concern over the misuse of security agencies by the ruling APC to suppress opposition voices.

The party vowed to continue fighting for the release of the detained individuals and condemned the alleged weaponization of security agencies for political gain.
