Kaduna State Reclaims 500,000 Hectares from Bandits

The Kaduna State Government has successfully recovered over 500,000 hectares of land previously controlled by bandits, as announced by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Maiyaki, during a gala night on Sunday. This achievement is attributed to the leadership of Governor Uba Sani and has significantly improved the security situation in the state, allowing farmers to access their lands and travelers to move safely between Kaduna and Abuja.

The government has prioritized security as essential for development. In addition to land recovery, the state has distributed 500 trucks of fertilizer free of charge to over 150,000 farmers for the 2026 farming season, following similar distributions in previous years.

The government has also made strides in education, reducing the number of out-of-school children from 550,000 to 187,000. Furthermore, the introduction of 100 CNG buses in July 2025 has facilitated affordable transportation for students and civil servants, saving them significant costs.
