Kaduna Youths Demand Justice for El-Rufai's Actions

On a recent date, hundreds of youths took to the streets of Kaduna to demand the continued detention of former governor Nasir El-Rufai. The protest, which converged at the UTC roundabout, was organized to call for justice and transparency regarding the alleged long-standing disappearance of funds associated with the Dadiyata case.

Protesters carried placards with inscriptions demanding public scrutiny and accountability for the 350 million naira state fund allegedly lost during previous administrations. Protest leaders, including Ana Yusuf and Joseph Chori, emphasized that the current governor, Uba Sani, must ensure transparency in Kaduna's financial dealings.

They warned against any attempts to distract from the ongoing investigation into El-Rufai. The protesters insisted on the need for an independent public security audit and full disclosure of the World Bank loan agreement.

They expressed that the citizens of Kaduna deserve transparency and accountability in governance, highlighting the ongoing issues of insecurity and banditry in the region.
