Kajuru Leader Calls for Action Against Banditry Crisis

Princ Kevin Bulu Bahago, the youth leader in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has alleged that local residents are collaborating with bandits, exacerbating the ongoing wave of banditry and kidnapping in the region. He described the situation as an internal enemy and called for urgent collective action from the community and security agencies to tackle this collaboration.

Bahago highlighted that since 2015, the Adara and Kuturmi communities have faced significant setbacks due to these alliances, with some residents reportedly providing information and support to bandits. He cited specific cases, including individuals like Jethro Bala and Kachalla Buba, as examples of this troubling trend.

Despite some improvements in security under Governor Uba Sani's administration, Bahago insists that a reassessment of strategies is necessary to end the crisis. He has called for an urgent security summit involving community leaders and government officials to develop a practical framework to confront banditry and strengthen cooperation with security agencies.
