Kalu Rejects Rumors of Secret APC Candidates' List

Orji Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, dismissed claims regarding a secret list of preferred candidates for the Abia State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This dismissal comes amid rising tensions among APC aspirants in the state following the allegations.

Kalu emphasized that the APC operates under democratic principles and that candidate selection should adhere to the party's constitution and the Electoral Act. He urged aspirants to mobilize grassroots support and engage in consultations to produce a consensus candidate.

Kalu called on APC members in Abia to disregard rumors of a secret list and to remain united as they approach the upcoming elections, advocating for a people-centered approach during the party's congress and primaries.
