Group Demands Investigation into Kalu's NYSC Controversy

The Save Nigeria Movement (SNM) has called for a thorough investigation following the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee's (LPDC) dismissal of a petition concerning Benjamin Okezie Kalu's involvement in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and his attendance at the Nigerian Law School. The petition, submitted by lawyer John Aikpokpo Martin, was dismissed due to lack of merit.

The group, represented by members including Solomon Semeka, Ibrahim Akaw, and Joseph, alleges that the controversy is politically motivated, particularly in light of the approaching 2027 governorship elections in Abia State. They have urged the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force to investigate the matter and take action against anyone found culpable of attempting to defame public officials.
