Harry Kane to Begin Contract Extension Talks with Bayern

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane confirmed that he is set to begin negotiations to extend his contract with the club beyond 2027. During a media day in Munich on Monday, the 33-year-old England captain stated that discussions had been postponed until after his post-World Cup holiday but would commence soon, likely this week or next week.

Kane emphasized the importance of starting talks with only a year left on his current deal, noting that both sides are calm about the situation. He joined Bayern on a four-year contract in 2023 and has achieved significant success, scoring 146 goals in 147 games and winning two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup.

Bayern Munich has expressed a desire to extend Kane's contract, with reports suggesting a new deal could last until at least 2029. Additionally, German World Cup winner Lothar Matthaeus endorsed Kane as a favorite for the Ballon d'Or, citing his outstanding performances throughout the season.
