Kano APC Welcomes 136,000 New Members Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has welcomed over 136,000 new members from various political parties, including prominent former elected officials and political stakeholders, in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This mass defection was announced during the inauguration of the Tinubu Support Group at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, where the new members expressed their support for President Bola Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Governor Yusuf described this influx as a strong indication of the APC's growing acceptance in Kano State, emphasizing that it would bolster the party ahead of the elections. He urged the new members to commit to the development and unity of Kano State and Nigeria.

The defectors, including notable figures such as Senator Rufai Sani Hanga and former Kano State Governor Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, pledged to mobilize support for the APC and work towards its success in the upcoming elections, citing confidence in the leadership of Tinubu and Yusuf.
