Kano APC Reconciliation Faces Setback Amid Absences

The reconciliation process initiated by the Kano State chapter of the APC is experiencing setbacks as the ALGON chairperson and her husband were absent from a significant meeting aimed at fostering unity within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held at the Kano State Government House, was directed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who urged aspirants to consult widely to produce a consensus candidate.

The committee, led by former national treasurer Bala Muhammad Gwagwarwa and including members like Nura Yaro Dawakin Tofa and Mutari Ishaq Yakasai, has been tasked with addressing grievances among party stakeholders. Despite the absence of key figures, the committee aims to conclude its assignments successfully within a short period.

The political rivalry between aspirants Alhassan Ado Doguwa and Salisu Yusha remains a concern, indicating deepening political interests within the constituency.
