Kano APC Endorses Gov Yusuf, Rejects Automatic Tickets

The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially rejected the notion of automatic tickets for lawmakers, instead endorsing Governor Yusuf for a second term. This decision was reached during a stakeholders' meeting held on Thursday, where party leaders emphasized the importance of a democratic process in candidate selection.

The meeting also saw the endorsement of Bola Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. Former Governor Ganduje, a prominent APC leader in the state, supported the motion to endorse Yusuf, explaining that the party's internal processes must be adhered to, particularly regarding nominations.

The meeting concluded with unanimous support from members present, and Kano State APC Chairman indicated plans to purchase nomination forms for Tinubu, demonstrating the party's commitment to supporting its candidates.
