APC Wins Dawakin Kudu/Warawa By-Election in Kano

The All Progressives Congress (APC) achieved victory in the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa by-election held on June 20, 2026, in Kano State. The official results were announced by Professor Umar Sani from Bayero University Kano, confirming that Rabiu Shuaibu of the APC received 35,356 votes, defeating his nearest competitor, Lawal Garba Haruna of the African People's Movement (APM), who scored 268 votes.

Abubakar Yahaya Muhammad from the Labour Party (LP) recorded 98 votes. The election process was described as orderly, and the results were certified in accordance with electoral guidelines, affirming that Rabiu Shuaibu met all legal requirements to be declared the winner.

The APC maintained a significant margin over its opponents throughout the electoral exercise.
