APC's Rabiu Garba Aiki Wins Kebbi By-Election

Rabiu Garba Aiki of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the Kebbi State by-election for the Zuru State Constituency, as announced on Saturday. Aiki garnered 4,887 votes, defeating his closest rival, Aliyu Galadima Muhammad of the Labour Party, who received only 168 votes.

The election was conducted to fill the vacancy created by the death of the former Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru. Despite the peaceful conduct of the election, voter turnout was notably low, with only a small fraction of the 109,385 registered voters participating.

Out of 5,156 accredited voters, 5,055 valid votes were cast, while 95 votes were rejected. The results indicate that the APC continues to maintain a stronghold in the Zuru State Constituency.
