Kano Assembly Confirms Garo as New Deputy Governor

The Kano State House of Assembly confirmed Garo as the new Deputy Governor during a plenary session led by Speaker Jibril Isma. This decision followed the resignation of former Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, which created a vacancy that needed to be filled.

The confirmation process involved a thorough screening exercise conducted by the ad hoc committee, chaired by Deputy Speaker Muhammad Bello. Garo's nomination was reviewed, and he participated in a detailed question session where he discussed his educational background, work experience, and knowledge of government activities.

He articulated his intentions to support the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and contribute to the state's development programs. The committee's findings were presented to the House, which subsequently approved Garo's appointment, affirming his readiness to assume the responsibilities of the Deputy Governor of Kano State.
