Kwankwasiyya Movement Supports Deceased Lawmakers' Children

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has issued a statement defending its support for the children of two deceased lawmakers, who represented the Kano Municipal Ungogo constituency. The spokesperson, Habibu Sale, highlighted the tragic deaths of the lawmakers, which left a significant void within the movement and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The movement's leadership, led by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, considers it morally appropriate to support the nomination of the deceased lawmakers' children as candidates during this mourning period. Despite political pressures and a shift in the landscape following the defection of Kano State Governor Moham to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwankwaso maintained that the original position of the movement would not change.

The NNPP has refrained from substituting candidates, demonstrating loyalty to its principles and the sacrifices of its fallen members. The absence of NNPP candidates on the ballot has been noted, and the movement urges the public to disregard any misinformation regarding its legitimacy.
