NNPP Spokesman Downplays Exclusion in Kano By-Elections Amid Political Turmoil

The NNPP spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi Karaye, has minimized concerns about the party's exclusion from the upcoming Kano State House of Assembly elections, stating that their goal has been accomplished. Despite controversies surrounding the exclusions, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved candidates from various parties, including the APC.

The NNPP has faced internal leadership crises, with factions claiming legitimacy. Key figures like Boniface Aniebonam have been involved in legal battles over leadership.

Notably, Nabil Sarki Aliyu and Rabi'u Kwankwaso's sons have emerged as APC candidates, potentially impacting the political landscape in Kano State. Karaye hinted at possible defections, particularly from the Kwankwasiyya movement, led by Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso.
