Kano CP Urges CID Officers to Combat Corruption

On Thursday, Kano State Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori addressed officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Kano State Police Command headquarters, emphasizing the importance of shunning corruption and unlawful detention. Bakori instructed the officers to adhere strictly to the rule of law while discharging their duties, highlighting that their actions must not violate citizens' rights.

The training session, which included a question-and-answer segment, aimed to enhance professionalism and public confidence in police investigations. CSP Abdullahi Haruna, the command's spokesperson, noted that the training was part of ongoing efforts to reinforce discipline within the police force.

DCP Shehu Idri commended the initiative, which is aligned with the Inspector General of Police's vision to improve investigative standards and public trust in law enforcement. Bakori also cautioned against the misuse of social media, which can undermine public confidence in the police.
